Description

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common condition with significant associated morbidity and mortality. Although Spring dust storms observed in northern China in the period from 1961 to 2008 are studied in this book. Firstly, some questions about the definitions of dust storms are discussed. The results of the investigations in temporal-spatial distributions present a declining trend in dust storm frequencies during 1961–2000, as well as a rising trend in the last eight years (2001–2008). Spatial variations are discovered by comparing the decadal dust storm distributions. Secondly, some close relationships between dust storms and the climatic elements in previous periods, such as the surface temperature, precipitation, sea level pressure and subtropical high. This book presents current research in the study of dust storms.
