Earthquake studies involve science, technology and knowledge of infrastructure and engineering so that human and material losses can be minimized at the time when such occurrences are inescapable. This book discusses the different aspects of earthquake research and analysis through theoretical advances as well as practical applications. Some issues discussed are ground motion studies, depicting seismic sites, securing buildings from earthquake loading and mitigation of risk from earthquake.
